Product Review: $7/pack, Iconic Hair

By  |

Would you trust the quality of hair priced at $7/pack and is sold in Dollar General? We were skeptics as well until we tried Iconic Hair! @TahiraJoy and I (@MayaTable). Installed and style by: Danyelle of @TheGlamDistrictATL.  Cut by: @Kenya_styles

About Iconic Hair

  • Price: $7-$9

ICONIC Hair’s unique value proposition is that we deliver good value, human hair extensions that are affordable, made accessible in Fred’s &
Dollar General stores, where women of the color shop.

Maya: The texture of the hair is close to the texture of a pressed out 4B hair. My hair is 4B so this hair is perfect blend. Iconic hair is a human hair blend so that’s important to remember when using heat on the hair.

Tahira: I love the texture of the hair as well because it will blend easily.

  • Blends well with pressed, natural hair.
  • It doesn’t shed.
  • Looks good after a week.

  • Can’t use heat higher than 250 degrees although the package says you can use heat up to 350 degrees. The hair began to shed at 350 degrees so we had to lower the heat. Because of that, this hair isn’t good for curly styles. This hair works best on straight styles.
  • 2 weeks is the max that you should keep the hair in. The texture of the hair starts to get more course. It starts to feel like Barbie doll hair 🙂

Maya & Tahira: Good hair for the price, especially if you need a quick fix! It’s perfect for quick weave styles. We approve!
