10 products under $10 for the perfect summer beauty routine
Summertime is the perfect time to try new products and switch up your routine a bit! Here are 10 products under $10 (well, a couple are over $10 — lol) you should add to your bathroom shelf:
Supergoop! Defense Refreshing Setting Mist, $12 at Sephora
Most sunscreens aren’t exactly brown girl friendly, but this product does double duty by providing sun protection and keeping your makeup in place. Try out the travel size for $12 before committing to the full size.
L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Concealer, $9.99 at Ulta
I’m a sucker for glowy makeup that gives a natural-yet-glamourous look. One of my favorite concealers, NARS Radiant Creamy, does just that, but the price tag is a little hefty. Here comes L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro Grow concealer that has been getting rave reviews from our favorite beauty bloggers. It offers great coverage without being too heavy and it’s great for ladies (and gents) with dry under eyes.
Cantu Root Rinse, $4.99 at Target
Ladies, don’t sleep on Cantu! Most of their products are $10 or less and they certainly deliver results! Cantu released a couple new products geared toward scalp health, which is great for ladies rocking protective styles this summer. The root rinse has ACV and Tea Tree Oil — two products that will keep your scalp healthy and squeaky clean.
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara, $9.99 at Ulta
If you love TooFaced’s Better Than Sex Mascara, then you’ll love this drugstore dupe that’s half the price. The formula is lightweight and has no clumps, and gives lush volume. Score!
Sephora Blush & Luminizing Stick, $8.00
The summer is all about being and looking luminous, and multi-use makeup sticks have become a trend. Use this product as a highlighter, creamy eyeshadow, and as a lip tint. Bloop.
Colourpop Pressed Shadows, $5.00
These aren’t new per se, but Colourpop has released a number of new shades perfect for the summertime. Use the yellow, orange and red shades for a smouldering, summer smokey eye. Plus, check out their new ultra blotted lip colors, too!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Line, $7.99
Hyaluronic Acid is one of the most popular skincare ingredients thanks to its ability to draw moisture to the skin. A lot of luxury skincare brands, such as Dr. Jart, have created lines surrounding this ingredient, but a single moisturizer can cost you an upwards of $40. If you’re on a budget, then Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line is a perfect dupe. It offers the same benefits as more expensive products, and you can buy the whole line for less than $25!
Boscia Charcoal Jelly Ball, $20 at Sephora
Okay, this is WAY over $10, but it’s well worth the price tag and charcoal is perfect for keeping sweaty and oil prone skin. Just wet the ball, squeeze it and lather up for quick and thorough clean.
E.L.F. Color Correcting Stick, $4
Summer is all about perfected, natural skin. Most color correctors will run you about $10–20, so this one is a steal at only $4! The creamy formula is easy to blend and will easily cancel out dark marks.
Maybelline Curvitude Eyeliner, $6.99
I love my Lancome Grandiose liner, but with a $32 price tag, it can be a little hard to keep replacing it once I’m done. A couple weeks ago I found this eyeliner, and its super pigmented with similar curve technology of the Lancome Grandiose that makes it super easy to do a cat eye.
