The “Short Hair Don’t Care Runway Event” presented by Enjoi Lux ( & Hair Rules ( took place Sunday afternoon and was filled with food, drinks, music, laughter and of course, stunning hair!

Stylists, photographers, bloggers, and influencers gathered in Brooklyn, NY at The Dumbo Loft to be a part of the runway event. It served as an opportunity for that boss babe or man to get hair inspiration or “breathe new life into their current style.”

“Hair trends have become so specialized in ways that have transformed cuts and styles into hair art,” shared Enjoi Lux founders Alaina Reid and Deborah Polidore. The atmosphere was elegant and sophisticated as pink and white lights dazzled the stage; cocktails poured among the guests with delicious brunch bites and sweet treats galore!

The day began with our very own Tahira Joy Wright, co-founder of The Cut Life, as she sat with guests for an intimate Q&A. There she shared her hair story and tips on how to increase brand awareness. She also answered questions about The Cut Life and on how to successfully build your own brand through social media. Among the guests included salon owners and stylists who tuned in and were truly inspired after the session.

The Q&A concluded and the runway was ready. The audience had their eyes glued as each model slayed the stage. Tahira had the honor of hosting the runway show but not before Hair Rules’ Anthony Dickey, the “texture guru,”  took to the stage to talk about the importance of celebrating all hair types and textures.

Soon after models hit the catwalk showcasing many looks from the boldbald haircut to the classic bob. The looks also covered natural and relaxed short hairstyles. The fashion was provided by Arlinda M. of Sofistafunk,

The salons/stylists who performed the chic cuts were: @outre_hair, @wellingtonhairspa, @styledbyreece, @hairrules, @starlinerz , @SorayahStyles @ohdiane_hair, and @tinapearsonsalon. Following the fashion show, Hair Rules’ Anthony and Jasmine took over to perform quick, live cuts.
