My Go-to Trio for Hydrating Dry Hair

By  |

Melissa’s gorgeous, healthy pixie!

Most of us have #hairgoals, maybe you’re seeking some serious growth in length or strengthening your tresses by making better styling choices such as limiting heat usage. Becoming our #hairgoals takes a little tender love and care based on our personal preferences and observing exactly what our hair needs. Personally, my daily struggles are combating a dry, itchy scalp and retaining hydration without weighing down my pixie cut.

So, now I have a go-to trio for keeping my hair hydrated and conditioned preventing dry and brittle hair that sheds excessively, which was a problem for me in the past. I rely on these products weekly for retaining moisture with softness and sheen. Check out my holy grail products for dry hair:

  1.  Co-wash Cleansing Conditioner

I stopped using shampoo because most strip the hair of its natural oils and I can feel it. Co-washing is a great alternative for cleansing while conditioning and the As I Am Coconut Co-wash Cleansing Conditioner is my favorite for weekly washing. It removes residue and contains a special blend of natural ingredients that work to promote healthy hair growth.

  1. Intensive Conditioner

Even after deep conditioning my hair and rinsing, I put a hydrating conditioner in before drying and styling. You want to do this for a deep-down hydrating treatment that will be moisturizing to the hair as you began to style, I like the As I Am Hydration Elation Intensive Conditioner.

  1. Coconut Jamaican Black Castor Oil

I found out about this gem from my hairstylist and use it as a daily moisturizer 2-3 times a week or as needed. Also, for dry, relaxed and colored hair like mine it can be added to a deep conditioner to add and seal moisture or be used as a hot oil treatment. It’s great for fast, healthy hair growth as well!

Have you tried any of these products and loved them? What are some of your holy grail products for hydrating hair?
