Let this be known: The folks at Wet N Wild sure know how to party!
After making a splashy appearance in Brooklyn, NY on Sept. 21 to introduce its latest technology, the Los Angeles-based beauty giant reaffirmed that quality can be affordable. Guests at the private event enjoyed light bites and mulberry pink cocktails all while mingling amongst a literal assortment of selfie-worthy products scheduled to hit retailers next January.
Personal favorites were the Megalast Liquid Catsuit line that features 13 long-lasting, creamy (not chalky) matte lipsticks and Wet N Wild’s buildable Photo Focus Foundations and Concealers. Tested under seven light conditions with top smartphone models, they’ll have you waving “boy bye” to ghastly photo flashback for good. It gets better though as consumers can finally choose from 20 shades -a progressive step given that countless women of color have repeatedly expressed frustration with the makeup industry for its shameful lack of diversity.
To my surprise, the color “Cocoa” matched my skin perfectly — no pink or obnoxious red/orange undertones in sight. I loveee how long-lasting the foundations and concealers are too; they’re not watery like other value brands. #Ew
Other exciting news of the night included Wet N Wild’s announcement of 85 new product launches in 2017 with 86 percent of them being vegan-friendly in addition to cruelty-free. Moreover, select 2015 releases such as the popular MegaGlo Highlighting Powder are now permanent.
Let us all rejoice. Great job, Wet N Wild.
