Golden Globes Beauty – Get The Look For Less

By  |

Awards season is upon us, which means we’ll learn a countless number of new ways to upgrade our fashion, whip our hair up and slay the makeup game. Here are three beauty looks from last night’s Golden Globes that are guaranteed to make you feel like a million bucks without breaking the bank.

Zendaya, The Soft Siren

In 2015, Zendaya captured our attention with her fierce personality, her fashion forward, fresh style and those flawless brows. She’s already slaying the 2016 red carpets with her soft, rose-toned eye shadow, nude lips and softly sculptured cheeks. Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this look.

What you’ll need: Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette ($12.99), Milani Infinite Liner in Everlast ($6.49), Ardell Demi Wispies (4-pack, $9.99) and Covergirl Queen False Lash Drama Mascara ($6.74)

> Choose a light, rose-toned shade and sweep it over your mobile lid, from the inner corner to the outer corner. Then, lightly sweep the shadow along your waterline.

> Add depth to your crease with a deep berry shade, and blend it out with a warm, shimmery brown shadow.

> Brighten and open your eyes by placing a vanilla or champagne shadow on your inner corners.

> Thinly line your eyes with Milani’s liquid liner and double stack a pair of Ardell wispies for an effortlessly gorgeous lash look.

> Add a light coat of Covergirl Queen False Lash Drama mascara on top and bottom lashes.

> Lastly, softly define your brows with a brow powder and set them with a brow gel. If you have sparse brows, create extra brow hairs with pencil that has a thin tip, like NYX’s Micro Brow Pencil ($10.00)

What you’ll need: NYX’s Slim Lip Pencil in Ever ($3.50) and Butter Gloss in Strawberry Cheesecake.

> Choose a warm, berry brown shade and lightly define your natural lip shape. Use  a lip brush to blend the color. Finish the lips with a nude, slightly pink shade.

What you’ll need: L’Oreal Pro Contour Palette ($12.99)

> Softly sculpt your face with a natural contour look. L’Oreal’s palette makes the process foolproof with a cool-toned contour shade and a highlight that’s guaranteed to make you look lit from within.

Jennifer Lopez, The Glowing Diva

Jennifer Lopez has been setting trends since her days as a fly girl for “In Living Color.” Her and the other ladies of the fabulous 40s crew (I see you too, Taraji & Gabrielle!) are showing that age is truly nothing but a number, and they consistently outshine their younger counterparts. Just like Zendaya, Jennifer is bringing her slay into 2016 with this glowing  look.

What you’ll need: Covergirl’s Eye Enhancers 4-kit shadows in Coffee Shop ($5.24), Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Nude ($3.97), Kiss I-Envy Individual Lashes ($2.99), Maybelline’s The Falsies Big Eye Mascara ($9.49)

> Sweep gold shadow all over your lids and lower lash line with a fluffy brush for a diffused look.

> Tighten your lashline with a dark brown gel liner and add in individual false lashes for a super wispy look.

> Use the lightest shade to highlight your inner corner and use a nude liner for your lower waterline.

> Use the bottom end of Maybelline’s mascara to further define your top and bottom lashes.

What you’ll need: Milani’s Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Red My Lips ($5.99)

> The lips are truly the focal point of this look. Line and fill in your lips with a warm brown lip liner and slather on a generous coat of Milani’s red lipgloss to create a unique brick-red shade that sizzles. For an extra added effect, highlight your cupid’s bow to get an extra full lip.

What you’ll need: Ruby Kisses All Over Glow Bronzing Powder ($3.99)

> To truly #gloup,  add warmth to your face with a golden-toned bronzer. Use a large, fluffy brush to sweep the bronzer along your cheekbones and hairline.

Lady Gaga, Old Hollywood Goddess

Lady Gaga

Remember when Lady Gaga thought it was a good idea to wear a meat dress on the red carpet and give the people at PETA a heart attack?  Well, thank God that Gaga has moved past her butcher shop chic days and has embraced a series of classic looks with a twist that only the Mother Monster can provide.

What you’ll need: L’Oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner in Navy ($5.81), Vegas Nay Grand Glamour Eyelure Lashes ($5.99), Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in White ($3.97)

> Sweep your foundation shade over your eye, from just below the brow bone to the lash line.

> Create a thick line from the inner to outer corners and flick it up to make a cat eye. Add a little dimension to the navy liner by setting it with a royal blue shadow that has a little sparkle.

> Line your lower lashline with the same navy shadow you used to create your cat eye. Make sure you only take the line ¾ of the way in.

> Now it’s time to add those thick, over-the-top lashes, which is the cherry on top of the glamorous look you’re trying to create.

> Line the waterline with a white liner, and add a few coats of mascara to the bottom lashes.

Lips and Face:

What you’ll need: L’Oreal Shine Caresse in Marilyn ($5.99), Milani Baked Blush in Delizioso Pink ($8.49)

With all that eye drama, the lips and face need to be soft and demure. Sweep these pink shades on your lips and cheeks for a sweet touch to a fierce eye look.
