New Year, New You Style Inspo: Blonde Bombshell
If you didn’t know already blogging & short hair aren’t the only things I’m passionate about. I also have a knack for fashion styling. I have always been into fashion blogs as a teenagers and clothes in general but after high school I decided I wanted to pursue styling as a profession. I am in the beginning stages of my career but with practice and dedication I’m sure this will become a full-time job for me. Well on to the fun stuff! Late in 2015 I actually had the opportunity to style the stunning blonde bombshell “April” for a shoot of mine. I conducted the shoot to build my portfolio so the vision for the looks I created came straight from the dome.
With the first look I was going for the girl who gets along with the guys or just likes to keep it cool & casual. When running errands, women tend to just throw on anything but it’s totally okay to want to look put together when just stepping out for a second. A signature piece with a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt are always the key to a great outfit. So with this look I decided to put her in the well renowned bomber jacket that has always been a favorite.
Bomber Jacket – Marshall’s
Blue Jeans – H&M
T-Shirt – Hot Topic
Sneakers – Nike
Moving on to the more sophisticated approach, I decided to bring a camel trench coat into the mix. I loved the oversized turtleneck and how the model’s bob sits nicely at the top to give the illusion of more volume to her hair. I knew I wanted to include the patched jean trend with the outfit and I think this modest pair worked perfectly. These outfits might be a little generic but executing a signature look to a T can boost it dramatically.
Trench Coat – H&M
Jeans – Old Navy
Sweater – Forever 21
Heels – H&M
As women with short hair, we always think about how our hair will match up with our clothes. It’s very simple and there are a few things we all should remember.
1. Make sure you keep your femininity.
2. Always make each look your own even if it was inspired by someone else.
3. Make certain you’re happy and comfortable with how you look. Don’t let your best friend force you to go out if you don’t think your outfit is dope boo!
I enjoyed giving you all some in site on both looks from this photo shoot and hope this encouraged you ladies to try them out for ourselves.
